Summary

Summary Working as part of a team of traders, which are embedded in the Investment Team, the primary responsibility for the Trader is to implement Pan Agora’s investment decisions. The desk is responsible for executing orders across products;
Equity, Foreign Exchange, Synthetic and Options. These orders will span; the Emerging & Developed Markets, Electronic and Sell-Side Desk Trading, Special Situations and Long-term rebalance baskets. This position will report to the Director of Equity responsible for trading and portfolio construction.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute orders in global markets to ensure portfolios are properly positioned.
  • Communicate trade performance, relevant news and market activity, and trading strategy to the Investment Teams
  • Perform administrative assignments:
    Interact with trading operations to ensure data integrity
  • Reconcile post-trade details with the brokerage community to ensure proper settlement of executions
  • Perform transaction cost research to enhance the firm’s trading capabilities and increase the team’s electronic trading capabilities.
  • Partner with Investment Team members and the desk to design and develop proprietary trading tools that enhance execution, workflow efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Leverage programming, data analytics, and AI technologies to automate processes, improve market insights, and support scalable trading operations.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience trading equities in global markets or execution research
  • Strong working knowledge of equity markets, algorithms and electronic trading tools
  • Prior experience creating intra-day trading strategies is a plus
  • Experience with programming, automation, and data analytics, including knowledge of Python, SQL, and AI-enabled development tools, is strongly preferred to support the continued evolution of the firm’s trading and investment capabilities
  • Experience with an OMS and EMS is required, with Enfusion and/or Newport experience a plus
  • BA or BS degree required: major in finance, computer sciences, operations management, engineering, mathematics or similar discipline is preferred
  • Team player; willingness to work with people at all levels to promote the firm’s common interests, and to work tirelessly toward the achievement of both departmental and personal goals
