Senior Associate, Valuation
An established private investment firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its valuation and portfolio analytics team. This individual will support valuation processes, portfolio reporting, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives while working closely with investment, finance, and operational leadership. The role offers broad exposure to private market investments and the opportunity to contribute across multiple areas of the business.
Responsibilities
- Support quarterly valuation analyses across a diverse investment portfolio.
- Perform financial and valuation modeling using a variety of accepted methodologies.
- Prepare analyses and supporting materials for financial reporting, investor communications, and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct industry, market, and benchmarking research.
- Partner with investment, finance, and operating teams to gather and analyze financial information.
- Assist with portfolio monitoring and fund performance reporting.
- Support responses to investor and due diligence requests.
- Develop presentations and reports for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Mentor junior team members and review analytical work products, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience within valuation, transaction advisory, investment management, private equity, consulting, corporate finance, or a related analytical environment.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- CFA, MBA, or other advanced credentials are a plus.
- Experience with complex valuation methodologies is beneficial but not required.
- Prior experience mentoring junior professionals is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary is expected to fall between $100,000 and $135,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
