We pride ourselves on exceptional client service, strong accountability, and governance, making us the top choice for industry executives and the largest revenue‑generating US and global tax practice.

We cater to a diverse clientele, including privately held and family‑owned businesses, individuals, family offices, public corporations, and tax‑exempt organizations, leveraging our industry expertise and global insights to help our clients navigate today's economy and shape a lasting legacy.

Your Key Responsibilities

When you join EY's Transaction Economics Group (TEG), you will analyze structured financial transactions across diverse industries, employing your background in economics and finance. Your role involves creating financial models, researching market trends, and enhancing your understanding of tax policies and their business implications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing financial models and tools to support client transactions such as asset acquisitions, dispositions, debt issuances, and corporate reorganizations.
  • Using corporate finance principles to evaluate the economic impact of deal structures.
  • Creating reports and presentations for clients, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Participating in all transaction stages, from evaluating options to deal closure, and compiling related documentation.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related field, supported by a strong academic record.
  • 3.0 cumulative college/university GPA.

  • Demonstrated writing, speaking, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • An interest in working in our team‑led, leader‑enabled in‑person model. Our expectation for this role is that people will work together in person the majority of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year, with teams often collaborating in person five days per week.
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
  • You must reside within a commutable distance of the office location associated with this position.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.
