The Associate program is a two‑year commitment with potential for promotion to Vice President following business school. It provides a differential experience due to the roles Associates play and our value‑added approach to investment management. The breadth of industries, multiple types of investments, and overall deal volume give Associates a unique opportunity to gain significant experience in a short period.

Bain Capital professionals are exposed to a broad set of situations and companies, systematically developing skills as a value‑added investor—not just a financial engineer. Associates learn to evaluate investment opportunities through fundamental strategic analysis in addition to traditional financial modeling. They may also be exposed to portfolio company issues such as potential add‑on investments, liquidity options, and improving core operations, gaining unique operating experience.

The program includes a comprehensive training program designed to introduce Bain Capital’s value‑added investment approach.

• Exceptional business analytic and quantitative skills
• 2+ years of work experience in management consulting and/or investment management
• Excellent professional and academic track record
• Ability to operate with limited supervision
• Highly analytical and strategic thinker

• Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership

Strong academic record at a top undergraduate school.

Expected annual base salary: $150,000. Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including role, function, level, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon individual impact, team performance, and firm performance.
