Estate Tax Accountant

CFS is partnering with a premier wealth management and fiduciary services organization to hire an Estate Tax Accountant.

Salary:
Competitive, commensurate with experience, 130-140k

Are you an experienced Estate Tax Accountant looking for a fully remote opportunity with a highly respected financial services organization? Our client is seeking a tax professional with strong fiduciary and estate tax experience to manage a high-volume portfolio of returns and provide expert support on complex tax matters.

• Prepare and review a high volume of fiduciary and estate tax returns, including Forms 1041 and 706
• Manage a portfolio of approximately 150-300 returns annually
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
• Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations
• Collaborate with trust officers, advisors, and internal stakeholders
• Assist with tax planning strategies related to estates and trusts
• Respond to tax notices and support audit inquiries as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and client records

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of experience preparing fiduciary, estate, and trust tax returns
• Experience handling a high-volume tax workload
• Strong knowledge of estate, gift, trust, and fiduciary taxation
• CPA, EA, or master's in taxation preferred
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Must reside in New England
