Coinvest Finance Manager - Private Markets

This alignment is achieved through the firm’s extensive coinvest program, through which employees, collectively, have been, and continue to be among the largest investors in nearly every Bain Capital investment across all business units.

The Bain Capital Coinvest Finance Group is a specialized team responsible for the operational, accounting, tax, reporting, and strategic support functions associated with the firm’s coinvest portfolio. With investments spanning the broader Bain Capital platform, the team has unique exposure across multiple investment strategies, business lines, and complex partnership structures. Members of the team regularly collaborate with colleagues of nearly every internal department in the company, including investment professionals from all business units, all internal finance departments, tax, legal, HR, compliance, and IT, as well as the firm’s outside advisors, including attorneys, banks, custodians, and accounting and tax professionals.

This role sits within the Private Markets vertical of the Coinvest Group – a highly collaborative, approximately 10-person team operating within a broader 20+ person coinvest organization. The structure provides the opportunity to work closely with senior team members and leadership while maintaining meaningful ownership, visibility, and impact from day one.

POSITION OVERVIEW The Finance Manager will play a key leadership role within the Coinvest Finance Group, supporting the accounting, operational, tax, and strategic activities associated with Bain Capital’s coinvest partnerships. This individual will be expected to operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy while partnering across teams and functions throughout the organization. The role is well suited for a technically strong and intellectually curious professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and is excited by the opportunity to contribute beyond traditional accounting responsibilities.
