Employment Type: Full-time, Day shift, 40 hrs/week
Job OverviewPerform clinical duties focused on medical assisting, patient preparation, and support for providers while handling key administrative tasks such as check‑in, scheduling, and front‑desk coordination.
Essential Responsibilities- Communicate courteously with patients, staff, and the public via phone and in person, providing accurate information and timely follow‑ups.
- Takes complete and accurate information from patients/callers, prioritizes data, and facilitates communication to providers.
- Prepares schedules, patient charts, and other documents in compliance with quality standards, maintaining confidentiality.
- Performs patient check‑in, registration, and verification of demographic and financial info using computer system.
- Enter data from visit tickets and ensure accuracy for billing.
- Collect copayments per standard procedures and direct patients at check‑in.
- Schedule diagnostic and lab tests, accommodating patient and provider needs, including insurance authorizations and referrals.
- Verify patient schedules and enter billing tickets into system.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Basic familiarity with computers; ability to navigate web‑based applications.
- MA, EMT, CNA, LNA certificate or at least 5 months of direct patient care experience (medical assistant, PCT, CNA, nursing student with rotation).
- Phlebotomy certificate.
- Written and oral communication in English.
- Knowledge of standard clinical practices and policies.
- Teamwork and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
$21.00 – $28.26 per hour (base). Compensation may exceed baseline due to shift differentials, call pay, overtime, premium pay, and other applicable factors.
