Overview
The Kimberly Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our research group. Our research group investigates multiple neurologic disorders, including stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, and traumatic brain injury. For our clinical studies, we use metabolomics, proteomics, and novel imaging such as low-field, portable MRI. The Clinical Research Coordinator I will support ongoing clinical research studies in an inpatient neurology setting and work on ongoing lab-based metabolomics projects.
ResponsibilitiesThis role involves screening and recruiting participants, obtaining informed consent, performing study-related tasks such as conducting portable low-field MRI scans and cognitive assessments, and managing regulatory documentation across several protocols. The Clinical Research Coordinator I will work closely with clinical staff in the Neurosciences ICU and on the inpatient neurology floor, coordinate with other ongoing inpatient studies, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of investigators, physicians, nurses, industry partners, and suppliers to facilitate clinical study operations.
Additionally, the coordinator will contribute to ongoing metabolomics projects using LC-MS/MS, including sample processing and data analysis.
- Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
- Some relevant research project work 0-1 year preferred
- Careful attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Working knowledge of clinical research protocols
- Ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects' rights and individual needs
