-Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Boston, Massachusetts.

The MRI Technologist performs high‑quality MRI exams, ensures patient safety and comfort, and contributes to imaging workflow, documentation, and clinical education.

Requirements:

  • Cardiac MRI experience
  • Taxable home address >50 miles from facility
  • Experience with GE & Siemens 1.5T/3T scanners
  • ARRT (MR) required (ARMRIT not accepted)
  • Current BLS through AHA
  • Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
  • No Massachusetts radiation license needed for MRI
  • Flu vaccine required by start date (medical exemptions only)

Shift:

  • Days
  • 36–40 hours/week
  • 8-, 10-, or 12‑hour shifts accepted

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients; set up coils and equipment
  • Screen all patients/staff for ferrous implants or objects
  • Select, record, and adjust pulse sequences
  • Review image quality; troubleshoot scan issues
  • Send images to PACS; verify and complete exams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and required MRI statistics
  • Explain procedures, answer questions, and monitor patient condition
  • Start IV lines for contrast; monitor for reactions
  • Assist with training students and MRI Tech I staff
  • Participate in ongoing education activities
