In House Rehab Team

Per Diem Position

Located in Lowell, MA

Primarily responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal and state standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Education, Experience, and Licensure/Certification s

Must have an active state license or be license eligible and meet the educational requirements as defined in the job description for that license type. M.A. or M.S. in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited college. Must have CCC or be in CFY, and be eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct Speech therapy services as well as its programs and activities in accordance with current regulations and guidelines that govern the skilled nursing facility.
  • Maintain and complete accurate documentation, department records, and reports.
  • Initiate referrals when appropriate and in accordance with Speech Therapy Department procedures.
  • Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine the need for intervention/treatment. Interpret and communicate evaluation findings to residents, family, and other team members.
  • Ensure effective communication regarding Speech Therapy programs.
  • Maintain commitment to professional growth and competency.
