Onsite Medical Representative

The Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team provides resources, best practices, and safe environments to proactively manage the health and wellbeing of our workforce. Amazon is seeking an experienced Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join the team. You will work closely with the WHS Site Manager, WHS Specialist, and occasionally the Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS).

Responsibilities include attending weekly associate safety committee meetings, greeting new hires, and participating in weekly case management review meetings as necessary. The OMR will independently assess and administer first aid and offer guidance to Amazon Associates (AAs) on occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. You will refer care to outside medical providers as needed and learn about OSHA regulations, risk, and analysis.

The OMR will be part of the onsite team, assisting with first aid needs and safety operations as needed.

• Provide first aid support and refer to outside medical providers as necessary.
• Minimize the AA risk of injury through awareness, education, and proactive engagement.
• Maintain all records of care provided to AAs.
• Coordinate and maintain workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for AAs with work-related injuries.
• Provide daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.
• Engage with AAs and leadership on the operations floor to coach regarding observed at-risk work habits.
• Maintain a clean working environment and ensure medical supply inventory is maintained.
• Participate in training and certification to facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes.
• Maintain all first aid, CPR, and AED credentials.
• Work flexible shifts which could include days, nights, holidays, and/or weekends.
• Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols.
• Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.

• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with variable noise and temperatures/weather (delivery stations include outside loading).
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).

If you do not have an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, you must obtain one within 3 weeks of start date.

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by an approved emergency cardiac care (ECC) provider; and one of the following: EMT or Paramedic Certification from the Department of Health or NREMT, or Active Athletic Trainer Certification by BOC or equivalent state certification.

• Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with an industrial wellness program and OSHA/Workers' Compensation knowledge.
• Proficient in digital recordkeeping.
• Military medical experience (e.g., Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, Aerospace Medical Service Technician) within the last year.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package includes sign-on payments and RSUs.
