Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy
Under the supervision of the Medication Refill Center Managers, the Refill Center Pharmacist is responsible for triage and processing of approval for refill renewal requests received by the associated clinical department at Boston Medical Center. The pharmacist works directly with pharmacies, providers and patients and serves as the lead for refill renewals for medications that fall within scope and protocol. The pharmacist also triages any need for additional information and facilitates ambulatory engagement for patients when necessary.
The pharmacist actively recruits patients who are identified to benefit from use of Boston Medical Center Outpatient Pharmacy services.

Job Requirements EducationRequires a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy. Advanced degree (e.g. Pharm
D, M.S. or MBA) preferred.
Requires licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Massachusetts by the hire date.
Requires at least two to three years related experience.
QS1 experience preferred.
Work requires a comprehensive understanding of the procedures, systems, and equipment used by pharmacists and technicians in the pharmacy as well as a high level of proficiency in performing pharmacist's duties and responsibilities.
Work requires a high level of analytical ability, organizational and personal management skill and focus to ensure the concerted approach to operations.
Practice experience working with as well as revising and/or implementing information systems.
Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills.
Professional in conduct and demeanor.
Proficient with standard software used in healthcare office setting (i.e. MS Word, Excel, web browser, etc.).
$39.90 - $57.93
