Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 6:30am-3:00pm, Friday 6:30am-2:00pm.
The Food Service Worker performs a variety of functions related to the safe assembly, distribution and service of food for Hospital patients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities- Attends department meetings, monthly in-services, training classes, etc as assigned.
- Anticipates and meets customer needs; takes appropriate steps to rectify issues.
- Maintains cleanliness of work areas.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of department equipment.
- Demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude.
- Adheres to all HACCP standards.
- Alerts supervisor to any concerns, discrepancies, product shortages, etc.
- Actively supports and upholds department goals to maintain or improve operations and customer satisfaction.
- Works in various tray line, cafeteria and kitchen positions. Sets up and stocks food station for meal service. Assembles patient trays and delivers trays from patient rooms.
- Cleans station, equipment, and floors at the end of each meal.
- Position may include operating dish machine, trash compactor, mopping floors.
- Prepares additional food items for patient tray line.
- Regularly works on sanitation projects assigned by manager.
- Assists with training of new employees as well as cross training of fellow employees.
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

- Must be able to read menu items in English (exception is the pot-washer position).
- Must be able to communicate in English (exception is the pot-washer position).
- Must be able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Work requires ability to push trucks and carts with food and supplies.
