Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
- Assess a patient's condition and needs.
- Develop a treatment plan, identifying specific goals and activities.
- Assist patients with various disabilities in performing tasks.
- Assess patients' homes or workplaces and recommend improvements.
- Educate patients' families and employers on accommodations and care.
- Recommend equipment and instruct usage.
- Record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and insurance guidelines.
- Minimum 6 months of experience (new graduates encouraged).
- BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state licensing.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
