Join Alexion Pharmaceuticals as the Executive Medical Director in Clinical Development overseeing multiple programs in hematology, nephrology, transplant, and cell therapy.

• Lead and mentor 2 or more program teams, driving successful execution of clinical studies and development strategies.
• Represent Clinical Development on the Global Program Team and Global Medicine Team at management and review committees.
• Develop and maintain the benefit‑to‑risk profile of our products through scientific and medical input.
• Serve as the medical expert for clinical study teams, overseeing clinical sections of the CTD, white papers, expert opinion reports, and regulatory responses.
• Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Safety, Regulatory, and Medical Science to design, execute, and interpret clinical study results.
• Provide scientific and medical input to R&D, commercial, translational, medicine, and business development functions, supporting due diligence and research collaborations.
• Drive awareness of internal and external scientific, clinical, competitive, and regulatory developments, attending scientific conferences and competitive intelligence activities.
• Lead clinical support of business development activities, such as due diligence and research collaborations.

• MD or equivalent, 7+ years of experience in clinical development, global regulatory, and product development expertise.
• Experience designing and executing multinational clinical trials.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams to define clinical strategy and study design.
• Experience supporting business development activities.
• PhD in related discipline desirable but not required.
• Required:
  
  MD or equivalent.

• Advanced knowledge of the assigned therapy area and ability to interpret and represent trial data.
• 7+ years of experience in industry in clinical development.

Annual base salary $315,000‑$505,000. Benefits include health, vision, dental, retirement, 401(k), paid time off, and employee wellness programs.
