Providence House Assisted Living is looking for CNAs/HHAs to join our wellness team!
We are a 102 unit building in Brighton, MA. We have all shifts available with the option of flexible schedules!
We are hiring full time, part time & per diem! We offer competitive pay and benefits.
You will provide outstanding patient care and physical support for residents on a daily basis. To do well in this role you should have your state-certified nursing assistant certification from a recognized CNA program, or Home Health Aide certificate. The CNA/HHA performs multiple care duties that contribute to the health, well‑being, and quality of life for the residents of the community.
Functionsof this position:
- Provides great patient care
- Answers resident calls and determining how best to help them.
- Carries out activities of daily living with assigned residents, i.e. washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, ambulation, transfers from bed to chair, etc.
- Assists with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of residents' apartments specified in the resident’s service plan.
- Observes and reports changes in residents' condition, behavior, or mental status to Resident Care Director.
- Accurately and completely documents resident care and observation as directed.
- Assists with, but does not administer, medication to residents.
- Assures confidentiality of all resident information.
- Adheres to all safety policies including reporting/removing hazards immediately. Reports all unusual occurrences promptly.
- Encourages and supports the concepts of the Habilitation model of care for residents.
- Responds to medical and all other emergencies promptly.
- Attends all required in-service education programs. Responsible for all information in the employee handbook.
- Recommends equipment and supply needs to the Resident Care Director.
- Works assigned hours per week, that may include night, weekend and holiday time.
- Other tasks that may become necessary/appropriate as requested by the Resident Care Director
We are actively taking measures to protect our Residents and Employees during the COVID-19 situation including: distribution of PPE, temperature screenings upon arrival to work, and periodic COVID testing required onsite provided by our dedicated infection control team!
Job Requirements:- Valid CNA license or HHA certificate required
- Prior experience in an assisted living community is preferred
- Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
- Understands the nursing function in assisted living
- Understands quality of care objectives
- Understands quality of life objectives
- Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
