Patient Care Assistant| MGH- HEMOC Infusion Unit| Per diem

Job Summary

Patient Care Assistant – Yawkey 8 (HEMOC Infusion Unit). This unit has 18 beds and 42 chairs. Operational hours:
Monday–Friday 7 AM–8 PM;
Saturday–Sunday 8 AM–6:30 PM.

The PCA assists RN staff with vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transport, room / equipment checks, aids dressing & feeding, and performs clerical tasks. Responds to patient requests promptly, safeguards confidentiality, monitors safety and communicates respectfully.

Per Diem, Day/Evening rotating shifts with rotational holiday and weekend schedule.

Hourly pay: $18.58 – $26.58, with shift differential for evenings, nights & weekends.

Onsite, 32 Fruit Street, Massachusetts General Brigham. Shift: rotating (United States of America).

• Ability to lift/transport patients safely.
• Preferred: recent experience/training in clinical patient care.
• Required:
  
  Licensed, certified or enrolled student in Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program at hire OR candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre‑Med or PA program with at least one semester of patient care rotations.
