About the Role

As a Patient Care Coordinator - Physical Therapy Technician, you will play a key role assisting with scheduling, systems, and patient communications behind the scenes. You’ll ensure a seamless administrative experience, while coordinating closely with clinicians and managing the overall flow of patient communications.

Your Typical Day
  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer and route incoming calls to appropriate staff efficiently and professionally
  • Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and support patient registration workflows
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure information is up-to-date in the EMR system
  • Coordinate with therapists and clinicians to manage patient appointments effectively
  • Handle payment processing and insurance‑related inquiries with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Maintain knowledge of clinic services and programs to answer patient inquiries effectively
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Assist patients with exercises and therapeutic activities under the supervision of a licensed clinician
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during treatment
  • Assist in the transportation of patients to and from therapy sessions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinic and therapy equipment
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
  • Perform other related duties as requested
About You
  • Adaptable, professional, and dependable
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi‑task, prioritize tasks, and ensure a smooth front desk operation
  • Patient‑first and customer‑service oriented
  • Experience working in a Physical Therapy setting
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with patients and internal staff
  • Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods of time
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established protocols
  • Strong computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • CPR and First Aid training/certification is preferred
