About the Role:
The Breast Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality breast sonographic examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. You ll work closely with radiologists and breast imaging specialists to provide exceptional patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform breast ultrasound exams and assist with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures
Review physician orders and ensure proper exam protocols are followed
Maintain accurate imaging documentation and patient records
Communicate findings and coordinate care with radiologists and referring providers
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of ultrasound equipment
Provide compassionate, informative support to patients throughout their imaging experience
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited ultrasound program
ARDMS certification in Breast Sonography (or eligible)
Current BLS certification required
1+ year of experience in breast ultrasound preferred
Strong communication and patient care skills
