Job Overview
This position manages patient scheduling for a clinical practitioner group, ensuring that all appointments are booked in accordance with department guidelines. The role provides customer service to patients, families, physicians, and staff while facilitating patient care coordination.
Responsibilities- Schedule appointments ranging from single physician visits to complex multi-provider visits for existing patients.
- Collect detailed clinical information face‑to‑face, by telephone, or electronically.
- Provide basic insurance referral information as needed.
- Deliver general disease or program‑specific information within the scope of knowledge and authority.
- Conduct independent patient and outside provider call triage and assist in directing patient flow.
- Act as liaison between patient/family and provider.
- Resolve issues directly or ensure appropriate escalation.
- Recognize emergencies and respond using standard operating procedures and critical thinking skills.
- Schedule research protocols, including grant‑funded and industry‑sponsored trials, coordinating with in‑house study teams.
- Execute processes in patient scheduling systems to ensure correct billing and revenue functions.
- Apply clinical, operational, and regulatory knowledge of patient care protocols.
- Participate in training new hires.
- Prepare, open, and close provider schedules; handle daily schedule changes.
- Conduct slide submission as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to multi‑task and work effectively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer, customer service, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
The position strongly prefers a bachelor’s degree in health administration or a related field, with up to one year of experience in healthcare or customer service.

Pay Range$45,500.00 - $54,400.00
Pay Transparency StatementThe hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
