Clinical Social Worker, LICSW, Center Airway Disorders; CAD

Position Summary/Department Summary

Part time social work position (20 hours) needed to provide a range of clinical social work services to children and families in the Center for Airway Disorders (CAD) program at the main Boston location and possibly at the Waltham satellite.

• Performing psychosocial assessments and developing interventions and treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary CAD team during outpatient clinics.
• Providing social work support to patients and families who are managing new and/or chronic conditions, addressing the emotional impact and connecting families to resources through the hospital or in their communities as needed.
• Providing supportive documentation (such as school letters, letters of medical necessity, etc.) in collaboration with the team, as needed.
• As this is a new position, programmatic development will be encouraged.
• Participation in standing program meetings and weekly rounds will be encouraged.

• A master's degree in social work is required.

• Minimum of two plus years of previous social work experience required; exposure within a medical setting preferred.
• Flexibility and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are expected.

• LICSW licensure required, in the state of Massachusetts.
