Transports patients specimens equipment and related items and supplies safely and comfortably to and from areas within the hospital as assigned;
Greets patients families visitors and staff in a friendly courteous positive customer service manner;
Identifies self as a transporter and verifies patient identification with patient and patient ;
Records transport details including last and first name time destination etc.;
Maintains log of all patient transports and documents transportation details;
Performs dispatcher functions as required;
Keeps work areas clean and organized and assists in emergency/disaster plans as needed
