Certified Nursing Assistant

Functions as a member of the patient care team under the direction of the RN
Supports the RN with clinical tasks, including blood glucose monitoring and completing EKGs
Responds to the needs of patients and family members
Assures the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician [CNA/PCT] required
• Heart Saver CPR AED
  - American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English
• Successful completion of an approved nursing assistant training program
• Physical ability to push, transfer, and pull heavy loads throughout assigned shift

Demonstrates proficiency in patient care support, including blood glucose monitoring and EKG completion, while ensuring adherence to the Patient and Family Centered Care Model. Holds essential certifications and possesses the physical capability to assist patients effectively.
