Senior Cardiac Sonographer
Trillium Professional is now seeking a Senior Cardiac Sonographer for an onsite position in Boston!
Annual salary is $112,000-$135,000 plus a Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 for eligible external hires.
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Cardiac Sonographer to join its Non-Invasive Cardiology team. This senior-level position performs advanced echocardiography and other non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic procedures while providing leadership, mentoring, and operational support within the department. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in stress echocardiography and amyloid patient care and is comfortable working independently while supporting research initiatives and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive echocardiograms and advanced cardiac ultrasound studies.
- Conduct stress echocardiograms, Dobutamine stress echos, vascular studies, Holter monitor analysis, and physician-supervised cardiac stress testing.
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, obtain diagnostic-quality images, and perform preliminary interpretation.
- Perform portable studies and assist with daily departmental workflow.
- Work independently within the Amyloid Clinic.
- Support cardiac research studies with high technical accuracy.
- Mentor sonographers, cardiology fellows, technicians, and students.
- Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and department operations.
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment, ISCV, and ordering systems.
- Maintain patient records, billing documentation, and departmental quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a two-year Cardiosonography or related allied health program.
- Minimum one year of hospital-based echocardiography experience (excluding internship).
- 5+ years of Stress Lab experience and experience working with Amyloid patients.
- Strong knowledge of cardiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and cardiac ultrasound.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARDMS certification (or eligibility) in Echocardiography strongly preferred.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
