Job Summary As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a key role in improving patient health by delivering evidence-based medical nutrition therapy across a diverse patient population. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you will assess patients' nutritional needs, develop individualized care plans, provide nutrition education, and help support positive clinical outcomes.
Essential Functions Assess patients' nutritional status using clinical data, physician orders, interdisciplinary care plans, and evidence-based practice to develop individualized nutrition care plans.
Provide medical nutrition therapy, monitor patient progress, and adjust nutrition interventions as appropriate throughout the course of care.
Document nutrition assessments, recommendations, care plans, follow-up evaluations, discharge planning, and other nutrition-related activities in the electronic medical record.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic diets, nutrition goals, and strategies to support long-term health and wellness.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered nutrition care.
Partner with food service teams to help ensure patients receive appropriate meals, supplements, and nutrition support while promoting adherence to prescribed diets.
Develop and maintain educational resources to support patient and family nutrition education.

Qualifications Education Bachelor 's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field required.
Experience in lieu of degree accepted? No
Licenses & Certifications Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) preferred.
Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (state licensure) preferred.
Heartsaver CPR AED certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Experience Completion of an accredited dietetic internship required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with sound clinical judgment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to educate, motivate, and build rapport with patients and families across all age groups.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
