Job Description

Job Summary The Surgical Tech I assists the surgical team in providing direct patient care during surgical procedures. This entry-level position involves preparing the operating room, handling instruments and supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Anticipate, select, use and maintain equipment and supplies for surgical procedure

Prepare and maintain sterile field throughout surgical procedure

Follow established policies and procedures for sharps, sponge and instrument counts

Assist in transportation, housekeeping and Sterile Processing as assigned

Required Qualifications High School Diploma / GED Certified Surgical TechnologistCPRPreferred Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience with scrub and circulation skills

Prior experience with sterile technique, infection control, sterilization and disinfection procedures

The pay range for this position is $26.58 - $39.86. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
