Position: Patient Care Assistant (EMK Students Only)
Massachusetts General Hospital -  - Responsibilities:
Performs patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including, but not limited to, performing and documenting point of care, vital signs, EKGs, bathing and other sanitary needs of patients, transferring and assisting with ambulation of patients, 1:1 patient observation for safety purposes, and phlebotomy.;
Assist RNs and physicians with other exams and treatments as required.;
Completes all documentation such as height, weight, intake of fluids and food, output of urine/stool/vomit/other drainage, and blood glucose results in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).;
Assists patients with food tray setup, eating, and feeding, as needed.;
Ensures that patient rooms are stocked, equipped, and cleaned appropriately, as needs indicate and as patient volumes change.
