Interim Operations Manager – Sterile Processing
Schedule:
- Shift: 8 hours, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, must be able to work both shifts.
- On-call leadership every 1 week block (Friday to Thursday), after-hours phone support and site visit required on weekends.
Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed
Hours:
40 per week
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required or active matriculation into a bachelor's program to be completed within 24 months of hire.
- CRCST or CSPDT certification required; CHL certification preferred.
- Minimum five years of experience in Sterile Processing, or combination of Operating Room and Sterile Processing operations.
- A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations.
- Strong knowledge of sterilization, infection prevention, regulatory standards, workflow management, and quality improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare operational systems.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Lead day-to-day Central Processing operations, ensuring service readiness and support for surgical and patient care areas.
- Oversee instrument reprocessing, sterilization workflows, inventory availability, and customer service for operating rooms.
- Manage, coach, develop, and evaluate supervisors and staff, including performance management, scheduling, payroll oversight, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in decontamination, sterilization, and high-level disinfection practices.
- Partner with clinical leaders to support surgical case readiness and resolve operational issues affecting patient care.
