Surgical Technologist – Surgical Services

Schedule:

12hr and 36hr D/E rotation with start times at 7a for day shift and 9a and 11a for evening shifts. Every 3rd weekend as needed, and every other holiday. On call: 1x per schedule. May float to another department if needed.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of inpatient OR experience, level 1 trauma preferred
• Scrub experience required
• Competency in at least 5 of the surgical services listed
• BLS Certification required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field
• Hand instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during operations
• Maintain proper usage and care of surgical instruments and equipment
• Collaborate with all members of the surgical team to ensure quality patient care
• Assist with patient preparation and post-operative care as needed

Positive attitude and flexibility required. Excellent communication skills are essential.
