Respiratory Therapist – Critical Care

Schedule:

12-Hour Night Shifts, every other weekend, including 2 call shifts and holiday commitment.

Assignment Details:

Requirements:

• License required:
  Respiratory Therapist License
• Registration required:
  Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Certification: BLS
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Must be available to work on-call as necessary
• Proficient in advanced vent management, including esophageal balloons, PV loop interpretations, driving pressure assessment, and best PEEP maneuvers
• Experience with ventilators, including Hamiliton G5, C6, T1, MR1, Phillips EV300, INO vent
• Experience in adult critical care and ED, including trauma, neuro, medical, cardiac, and surgical ICUs
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care to patients in critical conditions.
• Monitor and evaluate patient respiratory status.
• Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory therapies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation is weekly on Mondays.
• All RTO requests must be presented at the time of submission.
• Parking can cost up to $43 per day.
