Role Description

The DMS General - Clinical Coordinator in Boston, MA is a full-time, on-site role responsible for coordinating and overseeing clinical education for Diagnostic Medical Sonography students. This position manages clinical placements, maintains relationships with clinical sites, and ensures that clinical experiences meet program and accreditation standards. The role involves regular communication with students, faculty, and clinical partners; monitoring student progress and performance;

and addressing clinical concerns or issues in a timely manner. The Clinical Coordinator also supports curriculum alignment with clinical practice, participates in program assessment and improvement, and may contribute to teaching, advising, and mentoring activities within the program.

Qualifications
  • Strong Communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, and clinical partners, including clear documentation and professional correspondence.
  • Clinical expertise in Medicine, Patient Care, and, ideally, Critical Care Medicine to understand and support high-quality clinical education.
  • Ability to engage in Research and evidence-informed practice to support program development and continuous improvement.
  • Relevant clinical certification or licensure in a healthcare discipline; experience in diagnostic medical sonography or allied health education is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related healthcare field required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple clinical sites and schedules.
  • Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education and to supporting diverse student populations.
