Boston, MA- onsite full time
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday–Friday Pay: $20–$23 per hour
Schedule
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–4:45 PMFriday: 8:30 AM–5:15 PMWe are seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Patient Access Representative to join a busy healthcare team in Mattapan. This position may be assigned to either the patient registration/front desk area or the call center, depending on department needs.
As a Patient Access Representative, you will be one of the first points of contact for patients and their families. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with patients both in person and over the phone and can provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
What You'll DoGreet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
Register patients and ensure demographic, insurance, and billing information is accurate
Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions
Schedule and manage patient appointments
Verify insurance coverage and patient information
Collect copayments, deductibles, and self-pay balances
Provide receipts and accurately document payments
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
Help ensure patients move through registration and clinical areas efficiently
Provide front desk, registration, or call center coverage as needed
Perform general clerical and administrative duties
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting
Previous patient registration, medical front desk, scheduling, or call center experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Comfortable working with computers and electronic practice management systems
Ability to multitask and remain professional in a busy environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
