About the Position
Setting:  Adult ICU | Teaching Hospital

Opportunity Highlights

Flexible  day and night shifts:  6 AM–7 PM or 6 PM–7 AM

Weekend-focused coverage , including Friday nights

Minimum  2 weekend shifts per month

Ideal opportunity for a provider seeking consistent weekend and/or night coverage

Work alongside an experienced critical care team in a high-acuity teaching environment

Epic EMR

Average daily census of approximately 7 patients

10-bed adult ICU

Supportive physician and advanced practice provider team

Clinical Responsibilities

Round with the attending physician

Evaluate and manage ICU and Med/Surg patients

Complete daily clinical tasks and follow-up

Serve as a  responding clinician  for the ICU team

Bread-and-butter critical care cases, including limited burn patient exposure

No procedures required  — no intubations, central lines, ventilator management, EVDs, or transplant cases

Requirements

Physician Assistant with  Acute Care/Critical Care experience

Minimum  2 years of critical care experience

Active Massachusetts PA license or ability to apply promptly

BLS and ACLS

DEA

Strong ICU/critical care background
