NEW Health is a community health center dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to the residents of Boston’s North End, Waterfront, and surrounding communities. As part of a collaborative healthcare environment, NEW Health brings medical, pharmacy, and other supportive services together to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. The Pharmacy Manager will play an important leadership role within this integrated setting, overseeing pharmacy operations while partnering closely with providers, clinical teams, and health center leadership to support medication access, safety, and quality.

Directs daily operations of pharmacy services. This position directs and supports pharmacy staff and participates in determining the department's short- and long-term goals, as well as related policies and procedures. Provides leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff.

Provides leadership, guidance, and serves as a role model to professionals under their supervision. Supervises and directs the daily operations of pharmacy services; schedules and assigns staff. Serves as a resource regarding pharmacy policies for pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff. Participates in on-call responsibilities as assigned. Oversees staff development and performance evaluations. Assists with the recruitment, interviewing, and training of new staff.

Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Conducts educational programs, in-services, and staff meetings.

• Education Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy required or Doctor of Pharmacy Pharmacy required

• Related Pharmacy management experience 2-3 years required
• Related Pharmacy management experience 3-5 years preferred

• Must have excellent verbal, written, and quantitative skills.
• Displays a comprehensive knowledge of department operations.
• Shows knowledge of the pharmacology of drugs and the legal aspects of dispensing.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills to educate and supervise staff, normally acquired after three to five years of related hospital experience in a progressive, large health care organization and through self-directed education.
• Can work accurately and make decisions under stress and with time constraints.
• Strong attention to detail.
