About the Position
Plastic Surgery Physician Assistant Locum Opportunity - Massachusetts
Seeking a Physician Assistant with 1-2 years of inpatient Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery experience for a hospital-based locum assignment. This is a patient management role with no first assist responsibilities.
Compensation:
Hourly: $105/hour, Overtime: $105/hour (1), Holiday: $145/hour (1.4).
Schedule
Start Date:
September 2026
13-week assignment
3 x 12-hour day shifts per week
Monday-Friday schedule
Typical shifts:
Wednesday-Friday, with flexibility to cover Monday or Tuesday as needed
Hours:
6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
No nights
No weekends
No holidays
No call

Hospital
Inpatient Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Patient Population
Adult patients
Average daily census: 10 patients
Responsibilities
Perform history and physicals
Enter and manage orders
Interpret laboratory and diagnostic results
Prescribe medications
Perform appropriate bedside procedures
Assess and manage therapeutic interventions
Develop and implement plans of care
Ongoing inpatient patient management
Note:
This is not a First Assist position. Outpatient-only Plastic Surgery experience will not be considered.

Active Massachusetts license
BLS certification
Epic experience
1-2 years of inpatient Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery experience (required)

Outpatient-only Plastic Surgery experience
Candidates requiring Massachusetts licensure
Credentialing
Approximately 90+ days
