Job SummarySummary
Responsible for ensuring that all medications and supplies used or dispensed by the pharmacy are properly purchased, stocked, and stored.

Essential Functions- Manage Pharmacy Purchasing activities, including workflow monitoring, Purchase Orders, order acknowledgements, order expediting, phone orders, and order processing, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Utilize the prime vendor's ordering system and consistently prepare orders through their web portal to secure the best possible pricing.
- Analyzes the drug recall process and communicates the recall to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Place orders, close purchase orders, open POS when shipments are delayed or received impartially; monitor, turn, and adjust par levels to maximize freshness while minimizing out-of-stocks.
- Recognizes, communicates, and escalates supply chain and inventory management, critical path, and/or timeline concerns in a timely manner.
- Manage the patient-specific ordering and tracking process for ultra-high-cost pharmaceuticals.
- Coordinates transportation, shopping, and warehousing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Coordinate and return products to stock, receipt, and delivery, as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with all ordering and receiving regulations.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Pharmacy Technician [State License] - Generic - HR Only required Pharmacy Technician Certification [CPhT] - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required
Experience
Pharmacy Supply Chain Experience 3-5 years required

- Occasionally exposed to infectious disease and to possible carcinogenic, mutagenic, and sensitizing medications.
