Physical Therapy Assistant - Home Visits

Role Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being within a home care setting, following the established plan of care under supervision.

• Follow state-specific laws and supervise treatment procedures within training and qualifications.
• Instruct and assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Monitor and document patient responses and condition changes, coordinating care with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about therapy techniques within scope of practice.

• Current licensed, registered, or certified to practice physical therapy assistance in the state.
• Current CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work effectively in diverse home environments and handle physical tasks like lifting and transferring.
• Availability for weekend rotations.
