MRI Technologist

Position Overview:

Performs routine and emergency MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and data integrity. Provides patient education, assesses physical and emotional needs, and maintains a supportive environment for patients and families.

Associates degree in Allied Health required;
Bachelor's preferred. MRI registry eligible by ARRT within 18 months of hire. BLS certification and relevant experience required for senior technologists.

• Reviews requisitions and evaluates appropriateness of procedures based on diagnosis and clinical signs.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and selects suitable equipment and technical parameters.
• Explains procedures, answers questions, and assesses patient emotional and physical status.
• Follows quality control workflows and reports equipment malfunctions.
• Supports daily operations, including organizing supplies and participating in QA/QC projects.
• Senior technologists perform complex procedures, train staff and students, and act as supervisors or champions for new processes and equipment.
• Acts as a Board Runner Technologist and assists in research, billing review, and quality initiatives.
