Summary
Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Additionally, it provides input into determining study subject suitability and input into recruitment strategy.
Performs data analysis, interpretation, QA/QC, and assists in completing reports and presentations.

Essential Functions- Assists with determining the suitability of study subjects and acts as a resource for patients and families.
- Has input into recruitment strategies and may contribute to protocol recommendations.
- Administers scores and evaluates study questionnaires.
- Maintains research data, patient files, regulatory binders, and study databases.
- Performs data analysis and QA/QC checks and organizes and interprets data.
- Assists with preparation for annual review and assists PI in completing study reports and presentations.
- May assist with training and orientation of new staff members.
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) supports the conduct and coordination of clinical research within Mass General Brigham Urology across Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH). The CRC will work collaboratively with Principal Investigators, research leadership, clinical providers, research staff, and institutional partners to support the successful implementation and day-to-day management of clinical research studies.
This position will support research activities across both MGH and BWH, with assignments and primary work location evolving based on the needs of the integrated Urology research program. A particular area of focus will be supporting the continued development and growth of the clinical research and clinical trial infrastructure at MGH, while also providing coverage and support for studies and research activities at BWH as needed.
The CRC will be responsible for coordinating assigned clinical research studies from study start-up through enrollment, follow-up, and close-out. Responsibilities may include participant screening and recruitment, informed consent, study visits, data collection and entry, maintenance of study documentation, coordination of study procedures, and communication with investigators, sponsors, and institutional research teams.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy. The individual must demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to independently prioritize responsibilities while recognizing when issues require escalation. Because this role supports an evolving, cross-campus research program, the CRC must be comfortable navigating multiple teams and systems, identifying operational needs, and helping establish efficient and sustainable research processes.
