General Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will be working in the Inventory Control Area, stocking, filling, and distributing patient medication orders under the supervision by a registered pharmacist following established policies and procedures. They will alos perform sterile compounding. The responsibilities below describe the essential duties of the person or persons assigned to this job. A $5000 sign on bonus is offered for this full time 40 hour a week position.

• Medication preparation & delivery & OR medication preparation & delivery
• Enteral cart fill, automated dispensing cabinet stocking, delivery, and maintenance
• Inventory control
• Code tray production
• Simple nonsterile compounding and Sterile compounding
• Use of repackaging/automation technology and training

• High School Diploma / GED
• Current registration as a pharmacy technician by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy
• Current national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

• 1+ years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Strong teamwork skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to learn effective techniques and processes resulting in few errors or defects
• Basic knowledge of basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow direction

• Basic knowledge of medical & pharmaceutical terminology
