Radiology Technician – MRI specialty needed for a travel assignment in the Boston, MA area. Start date 10/05/2026 for a 13-week engagement with 36 guaranteed hours per week on 12-hour shifts. Work setting is within a hospital imaging department. The assignment includes a Friday–Sunday schedule, with daily hours roughly 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The posted weekly pay range is $3,170 to $3,356.

Local residents within 50 miles of the facility will be offered the local rate, which is $10 less than the posted bill rate.

• Perform MRI examinations on Siemens systems (the department has 2 Siemens units), plus Philips and GE units (GE is outpatient only), ensuring high-quality images and protocol accuracy.
• Position patients, select appropriate MRI sequences, and adjust protocols in accordance with radiologist orders; optimize image quality while maintaining patient safety.
• Conduct MRI safety screenings, monitor patients during scans, manage claustrophobia or anxiety as needed, and screen for contraindications or implants.
• Ensure accurate documentation and labeling of images in the medical record; promptly communicate findings or concerns to radiologists and clinical teams.
• Administer contrast agents when required by the exam and protocol; monitor for adverse reactions and follow established safety procedures; sanitize and maintain equipment between studies.
• Collaborate with the imaging team to uphold workflow efficiency, infection control, and radiation-safety policies; report equipment issues and participate in routine quality checks.

• 2+ years of recent MRI technologist experience in a busy hospital setting
• Siemens MRI experience required; familiarity with Philips and GE platforms (GE is outpatient only)
• Preferred: 4+ years using Siemens equipment
• Certifications:
  
  BLS; ARRT or ARMIT certification (MRI)
• Licensure:
  Massachusetts licensure not required
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and a Fri–Sun schedule; excellent communication and teamwork skills
