Per Diem- schedule varies during the evening

2:45PM-11:15PM rotating

Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Performs a variety of environmental services duties to ensure hospital facilities meet cleanliness, infection prevention, and safety standards.

• Sweeps, mops, strips, waxes, and polishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets.
• Dusts and cleans furniture, fixtures, equipment, and other surfaces throughout assigned areas.
• Washes walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, door glass, and other building surfaces.
• Empties, cleans, and sanitizes trash and waste receptacles.
• Cleans and disinfects restroom facilities, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenishes supplies as needed.
• Removes debris and maintains the cleanliness of building exteriors and surrounding areas.
• Operates and maintains floor care equipment, including high- and low-speed buffers, scrubbers, and stripping machines.
• Sets up and arranges tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings, special events, and routine hospital activities.
• Identifies and reports maintenance, safety, and repair issues within assigned areas.
• Follows infection prevention, safety, and environmental services protocols to maintain regulatory compliance and support a safe patient care environment.

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

• Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 2-3 years required

• Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
• Good communication and comprehension skills.
