Male Caregiver Brighton MA

Location: Monastery in Brighton MA

Schedule: To be determined (min 12 hours per week)
Clients: Two older adults (Priests) living in the same residence/Monastery

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking a patient, dependable male caregiver to provide care and companionship for two older adults living together in Brighton.

This is a great fit for an experienced caregiver who is comfortable supporting clients with mobility limitations while also encouraging independence and respecting their routines and preferences.

Care needs will include:

• Assistance with showering and personal care

• Meal preparation

• Light housekeeping and laundry

• Medication reminders

• Transportation to medical appointments and errands

• Mobility assistance as needed

• Companionship and general supervision

• Encouraging independence while providing support where needed

One client is mobile and recovering from shoulder surgery. He primarily needs assistance with meals, household tasks, medication reminders, transportation, and day-to-day support.

The second client has more limited mobility and needs additional assistance with showering, laundry, housekeeping, and daily activities. He is currently able to toilet independently.

• Male caregiver

• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle

• Comfortable driving clients to appointments

• Lives in or reasonably close to Brighton, MA

• Experience with personal care and clients with limited mobility

• Patient, respectful, and able to work with individuals who may initially be resistant to receiving care

• Dependable and able to start quickly

• Comfortable assisting two clients within the same household

We are looking for someone who is calm, mature, patient, and professional and understands how to build trust with clients while respecting their dignity and independence.

Immediate availability is strongly preferred.
