American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 trauma center, requiring current ARRT CT registration and Siemens scanner experience.
Details- Level 1 trauma center setting with staff required to float among radiology clinics and divisions as needed
- Operates CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices to acquire diagnostic images
- Performs venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Friday/Saturday/Sunday
- 36 hours per week on a non-rotating shift
- Weekend coverage required
- On-call coverage and flexibility with shift coverage required
- Uses Epic for charting
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Current Massachusetts State Radiologic and CT Technologist license required if applicable
- Registered in CT by the ARRT or equivalent
- 2+ years experience as a Radiologic Technologist with at least 1 year in CT preferred
- Level 1 trauma and Siemens CT equipment experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients under physical or emotional stress
- Analytical ability to utilize imaging processes, techniques, and cross-sectional anatomy knowledge
- Explains exams to patients with consideration for physical and emotional needs while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct
- Calibrates and verifies CT equipment operation and reports malfunctions as needed
- Completes RIS documentation and transfers images to PACS for each exam
- May oversee and instruct radiography, CT, and nuclear medicine students
- Participates in quality assurance, quality improvement, and research initiatives within the department
- Transports and transfers patients according to departmental guidelines
- Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of the facility, subject to a reduced rate
