Clinical Nutritionist
Provides advanced clinical nutrition expertise and comprehensive medical nutrition care to patients across the continuum of care. Responsibilities include conducting nutrition assessments, developing and implementing individualized nutrition care plans, providing dietary guidance and education, and supporting complex nutritional needs. The role also provides leadership and guidance to dietitians and nutrition professionals and contributes to the development of programs, policies, and practices that promote high-quality patient care.
Education- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Dietetics required or Master's Degree in Dietetics required.
- Experience in lieu of a degree is not accepted.
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
- Dietitian and Nutritionist state license required.
- 3–5 years of clinical dietitian experience working with diverse patient populations required.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective critical thinking, evaluation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to educate, guide, and motivate patients across all age groups.
- Ability to apply clinical judgment and adapt nutrition interventions to meet diverse patient needs.
