The Director, US Medical Strategy - GI at Takeda leads product-specific medical strategies within US Medical Affairs, focusing on gastroenterology.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic medical plans aligned with global and commercial goals
- Serve as an SME for GI therapies
- Manage external KOL relationships
- Oversee budgets
- Drive insights generation through ad boards and field medical data
- Leverage digital and AI tools for insight and operational improvements
- Collaborate across functions for strategy implementation
- Represent medical affairs on global and cross-functional committees
- Support publication and research activities
- Contribute to lifecycle management and evidence generation strategies
- Advanced doctoral degree (MD, PhD, PharmD)
- At least 5 years' experience in clinical practice, research, or pharma, preferably in gastroenterology
- Strong expertise in digital, analytics, or AI-enabled approaches
Travel up to 30%. The position is hybrid, based in Boston, MA.
