This facility is a large hospital operating as part of an academic health system. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and the infrastructure necessary to support coordinated inpatient radiation oncology care delivery. Appropriate resources are in place to accommodate locum tenens clinicians across multi-specialty radiation oncology service needs.

Boston is a historically significant city offering a range of cultural and recreational experiences. Clinicians on assignment may walk the 2.5-mile Freedom Trail and its 16 historic sites, take harbor cruises, observe wildlife on whale watching excursions, or visit the New England Aquarium. Neighborhoods such as Beacon Hill provide scenic settings for exploring the area on foot or by bike along the Charles River, and a short train trip connects the city to nearby Salem, known for its 1692 witch trials history and associated attractions.

The Radiation Oncology Physician Associate will provide inpatient radiation oncology coverage on a day shift schedule, working either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week, with no call, no weekend, and no night requirements. Primary responsibilities include seeing inpatient consults, performing care coordination, and managing patients across multiple radiation oncology subspecialties, including thoracic, breast, and gastrointestinal oncology. The role also includes a component of inbasket management and administrative tasks such as patient calls and communication with patient families.

All clinical documentation is to be completed through EPIC EMR.
