Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a talented Catering Manager 2 to join our team at UMass Boston

- Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of all catered events—both on and off campus.
- Develop event timelines, staffing plans, logistics, and service flow.
- Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations to support continuous improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain accuracy of menu identifiers and allergen information.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise catering staff.
- Provide direct, hands‑on leadership during events to uphold high service standards.
- Support a positive, accountable team culture focused on guest satisfaction.
- Participate in client consultations and planning meetings.
- Serve as the on‑site point of contact, ensuring seamless communication.
- Resolve service challenges professionally, efficiently, and with a customer‑first mindset.
- Coordinate rentals, linen service, equipment needs, and specialty vendors.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering (including alcohol), and equipment readiness.
- Control event‑related labor, supply, and rental costs to meet financial goals.

Minimum Education Requirement – High School Diploma or GED
