Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring a well‑operating purchasing department, supplying products to the hotel as needed, while maintaining storage areas in a clean, organized, safe manner and maintaining the security of property assets at all times.

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience; previous hospitality experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill food requisitions for the Kitchen, Restaurant, Room Service, Banquets, Cafeteria, Bar, etc.
  • Cost out food requisitions while filling.
  • Inventory dry foods.
  • Assist with month‑end inventory.
  • Receive dry goods products.
  • Cost out dry food items and reshelf.
  • Help with food receiving when necessary.
  • Periodically order items such as bread.
  • Maintain cleanliness of food storerooms.
  • Fill general storeroom requisitions.
  • Store paper supplies in storeroom.
  • Perform food rotation and canned goods inventory.
Job Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees.
  • Physical fitness to work for extended periods standing or walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying up to 20 pounds.
  • Willingness to assist co‑workers and guests beyond normal job duties.
  • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a professional manner.
  • Ability to follow Universal Standards, including Guest Etiquette, Employee Etiquette, Phone Etiquette, Service Etiquette, and Ownership.
  • Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry and the 24‑hour operation, employees may be required to work rotating shifts, night shifts, and/or overtime.
