PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF POSITIONThe Hostperson is a member of the Food and Beverage team who assists in ensuring that guest service and food and beverage Brand standards are met. Hospitable, welcoming and friendly guest service, are essential requirements of the position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Greet and seat guests.
- Answer the telephone/take reservations/manage Opentable reservations.
- Stock menus and ensure they are clean and free of blemishes.
- Responsible for handling guest requests and notify manager.
- Provide maximum levels of guest service while maintaining Brand standards.
- Receive takeout orders via phone and in person; ensure guests receive proper orders.
- Assist server/busser/barback/bartender as needed.
- Additional duties not mentioned above may also be requested by supervisor
- Ability to use written (verbal/visual) sources of information, i.e. read reports, procedural documentation.
- Use oral communication to perform work, i.e. answer telephone, greet guests.
- Make minor decisions requiring limited judgment, e.g. task sequencing, and Make general decisions in the absence of specific directions, e.g. prioritizing workload.
- Previous experience in similar environment preferred.
- React professionally and remain in control when working with high volume under pressure.
- Attend department meetings and trainings.
- Demonstrate team playing skills at all times
- Have positive attitude and set example among colleagues
- Must have a flexible schedule with availability to work evenings.
- Stand; reach; grasp; lift/carry; walk; squat/ bend; push/pull.
- Ability to stand for length of shift.
- $33.55 - $33.85 per hour
